The most important lesson exile taught me from traveling abroad is that what makes us most alienated is being in a country that respects our humanity, regardless of differences in nationality, identity or religion, no matter how remote or affiliated its people are. A different culture and what we need most so that we can expand and the difficulty is that we are in a country where expatriates are considered second-class, regardless of the amount of salary, how close the distance, or the similarity of culture is a degree.
